Link equity
What is link equity?
Link equity, sometimes called link juice, is the ranking value passed from one page to another through a hyperlink.
Why it matters
Equity flows are diluted by the number of outbound links on the source page and blocked by rel=nofollow or rel=sponsored attributes.
Internal links also pass equity, which is why linking from strong existing pages to new content speeds up its ranking.
