What is link insertion?

A link insertion, also called a niche edit, is a backlink added to an article that already exists and is already indexed, rather than to a newly published guest post.

Why it matters

Insertions are faster and cheaper than guest posts, and they inherit any authority the host page already accumulated.

They are also easier to abuse, so quality control matters: the sentence containing your link should read as if it was always there.
