Disavow
What is disavow?
Disavowing is submitting a file to Google asking it to ignore specific backlinks pointing at your site.
Why it matters
It is rarely needed. Google ignores most spam links automatically; disavow mainly matters after a manual action or a deliberate negative SEO campaign.
Disavowing good links by mistake can cost rankings, so audit carefully before uploading.
